We have acquired Bridge Cottage next to the Pig and Whistle Pub. We are waiting on probate at the present time before doing works in the property to make it available for holiday letting - hopefully before Summer 2026.

We are turning up facts about this 'cottage' and wait to find out more when the deeds come through. We think it's been a non-conformist chapel and a village hall (OS 1887) in the past. Later owned by the Council before passing into private ownership in the 60's.

The former owners John and Primrose were good friends of ours but they both sadly passed away recently. We have spent many hours chatting over that garden fence. They purchased it back in the 60's and it was in their occupation for 60 years.

We cant confirm future bookings at this time but, if you are interested in staying here, contact us and we will let you know when it becomes available. Obviously very useful for our caravaners if some members of your party do not have a caravan or motorhome and need alternative accommodation.

Pig and Whistle Pub, labelled as a 'Smithy' on the OS map of 1887, is detached from it but right next door making this a great, characterful cottage next to a similarly characterful pub, from which to explore our wonderful coast, moor or towns.
